Monarchs and Marine Mammals

$120 Monarchs and Marine Mammals

Winter 2020 (TBD)

Join Teranga Ranch on an educational adventure as we explore the central California coastline and the spectacular native wildlife that can be found there.

Leave the driving to us while we head to Pismo Beach to view the Monarchs, Morro Rock to see Sea Otters and Piedras Blancas to experience Elephant Seals!

We’ll learn about wildlife as we drive and then experience it live right where it belongs, wild and free!

It’s a picnic lunch, you can bring your own or purchase a box lunch. Dress in layers (Piedras Blancas can get chilly!) and wear comfortable walking shoes. There isn’t a lot of walking but some of the terrain is a little uneven.

Tule Elk and the California Living Museum

$55 Tule Elk and the California Living Museum

October 26, 2019

Join Teranga Ranch on an educational adventure as we explore the Tule Elk Preserve and the spectacular native wildlife that can be found at the California Living Museum.

The Tule Elk preserve in Buttonwillow is an homage to the past and home to California’s only endemic elk, the Tule Elk. Learn his story of a comeback from the brink of extinction and watch herd dynamics in action.

The California Living Museum is an amazing collection of native wildlife that came in through their wildlife hospital but could not be returned to the wild for whatever reason. It’s a little educational gem in Bakersfield!

We’ll also explore Pyramid Lake along the way!

This is a carpool/caravan trip!

Complete, detailed itinerary will be made available at registration.
