January 25, 2020

IT’S WINTER ALONG THE CALIFORNIA COAST!!!!

Join Teranga Ranch on an educational adventure as we explore the central California coastline and the spectacular native wildlife that can be found there.

Join us on our swanky tour bus while we head to Pismo Beach to view the Monarchs (whose numbers are improved so far this year!!!), Morro Rock to see the Sea Otters, Sea Lions and possibly Harbor Seals, and finally Piedras Blancas to behold more than 10,000 Elephant Seals who are having babies all over the beach!
(If you love taking photos of wildlife in the wild, this is the trip for you!)

We’ll learn about wildlife with a variety of native wildlife educators during the ride and then experience it live right where it belongs, wild and free!

Your tour includes 12 hours of personalized, professional guide services, transportation up and down the coast on a chartered bus, a swag bag with native milkweek and other surprises, and the experience of a lifetime!
This tour plans to feature presentations by outstanding experts in their fields, Kristy Clougherty Brauch and John Sanders, from the Delphinus School of Natural History. More info on these amazing people below.
(Note: Also included in the price of the tour are donations to both the Monarch Butterfly Grove and also to the Friends of the Elephant Seal. This trip would not be what it is without the hard work of both these organizations.)

Tule Elk and the California Living Museum

$55 Tule Elk and the California Living Museum

October 26, 2019

Join Teranga Ranch on an educational adventure as we explore the Tule Elk Preserve and the spectacular native wildlife that can be found at the California Living Museum.

The Tule Elk preserve in Buttonwillow is an homage to the past and home to California’s only endemic elk, the Tule Elk. Learn his story of a comeback from the brink of extinction and watch herd dynamics in action.

The California Living Museum is an amazing collection of native wildlife that came in through their wildlife hospital but could not be returned to the wild for whatever reason. It’s a little educational gem in Bakersfield!

We’ll also explore Pyramid Lake along the way!

This is a carpool/caravan trip!

Complete, detailed itinerary will be made available at registration.
