Wild About Wolves
September 24 @ 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
Join Teranga Ranch as we head southeast to Julian, CA to experience the North American Grey Wolf. On this very special field trip, you’ll be in charge of your experience while we carpool/caravan with a small group to the California Wolf Center for the day. We’ll learn all about wolves on the way down! We’ll talk about the natural history, behavior, myths and current status of North America’s top canine. We’ll be stopping twice on the way down. When we get to Julian, we’ll head over to the CA Wolf Center to learn more about wolves and the center, and to meet their resident pack. After that,we’ll pick up pies from Mom’s Pie House (in case you’d like to indulge in one of their famous Apple Pies or bring one home!).
Your guide, Dana Stangel spent 20 years working with and training educational wolves. She is a Biology teacher and an Urban Wildlife Specialist who currently leads Teranga tours and does all sorts of other native wildlife education throughout Southern California.
Complete, detailed itinerary will be made available at registration.
