Spotting Foxes on Santa Cruz Island
December 20, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Spend the day with Teranga Ranch and Betina’s Butterfly Garden on an educational adventure as we explore Santa Cruz Island, her foxy inhabitants, and her watery, cetacean-filled surroundings!
Learn the story of an animal that was brought back from the verge of extinction by a dedicated group of humans.
We’ll meet in Ventura. As we cross over the channel to get to the island, and on our way back, we will be on the lookout for whales and dolphins.
On the island we will experience the incredible endemic island foxes, scrub jays, monarchs and more!
The hiking is moderate (about 3 miles..A bit of a hill at one spot..), we can take our time.
Kids over 8 are welcome if they can handle walking and being disconnected for the day.
It’s a picnic lunch, you will need to pack and bring your own food and drinks.
Dress in layers and wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes.
