Bears in Strange Places… Tujunga Edition

June 9, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Bears in Strange Places…
Most folks don’t know what to do!
What would you do?
Learn how bears think and how to act if you cross paths with one of these beautiful creatures.
Our speaker is Dana Stangel, a Biology teacher and Urban Wildlife Specialist with Teranga Ranch. She conducts backyard wildlife consultations, hosts public presentations, and organizes educational field trips to learn about and observe native wildlife.
Teranga Ranch is a wildlife education organization educating Californians about local wildlife, teaching us how to coexist. Dana goes to schools, home owners association meetings, and holds community meetings when there is a perceived wildlife issue, like coyotes. Dana will bring humane hazing devices and will discuss humane alternatives to poison, traps and guns.
Teranga Ranch teaches community classes about local wildlife, presents workshops and hosts Field Trips. They also provide opportunities for anyone to get outside and involve themselves with wildlife, nature and Science.
