DESCRIPTION:Spend the day with Teranga Ranch and Betina’s Butterfly Garden on an educational adventure as we explore Santa Cruz Island\, her foxy inhabitants\, and her watery\, cetacean-filled surroundings! \nLearn the story of an animal that was brought back from the verge of extinction by a dedicated group of humans.\nWe’ll meet in Ventura. As we cross over the channel to get to the island\, and on our way back\, we will be on the lookout for whales and dolphins.\nOn the island we will experience the incredible endemic island foxes\, scrub jays\, monarchs and more! \nThe hiking is moderate (about 3 miles..A bit of a hill at one spot..)\, we can take our time.\nKids over 8 are welcome if they can handle walking and being disconnected for the day.\nIt’s a picnic lunch\, you will need to pack and bring your own food and drinks.\nDress in layers and wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes. \nApril 30\, 2022\n7:15am (out of Ventura) – 5pm\n$105/per person \nFee includes roundtrip boat ride to and from the island and your personalized guided tour by Urban Wildlife Specialist Dana Stangel with presentations on cetaceans and butterflies by Betina Loudermilk. \nTickets must be purchased by February 28\, 2022! \nPayments can be made via PayPal (friends and family option\, please- you are definitely our friends!): donations@terangaranch.org with the message Santa Cruz Island.\nYou can also mail a check to Teranga Ranch P.O.
